Obituary of Gretchen Margaret Combs

COMBS, Gretchen M. Mrs. Gretchen M. Combs, 96, died Friday, August 27, 2010, in Ocala. A native of Dedham, MA, she moved to Ocala in 1983, coming here from Gainesville. She retired after many years as a film librarian at Shands @ UF in Gainesville. She was a member of Oakcrest Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter Garvia Anne McNeill, Ocala, her son Garvin K. Combs, Alachua, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 30, 2010, at Oakcrest Baptist Church, with Rev. William D. Terrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Meadows Memorial Park East cemetery, Gainesville. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, is handling arrangements.
