Obituary of Robert P. Raitt

RAITT, Robert P. Mr. Robert P. Raitt, 94, of Ocala, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Estelle's Hospice House. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Raitt moved here in 1992, coming here from the Miami and Ft. Pierce area. He formerly served as the Commander of the Coral Gables American Legion Post #98, and the President of the Florida Chapter Purchasing Management Association. He served in the US Army during WW II with the 82nd Airborne and 13th Airborne Divisions as a Glider Rider. Mr. Raitt is survived by his wife of 48 years Edith M. Raitt, daughter Jill A. Hampton, sons Robert F. Raitt, Michael K. Ferry, Steven M. Ferry, Carleton W. Ferry, and David K. Ferry, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services is handling arrangements.
