Obituary of Beryle Henry Cartledge
Ocala, Mr. Bill H. Cartledge, 78, passed away in Ocala, Florida on September 22, 2010. He was born in Miami, FL on May 23, 1932. He retired from Florida Power and Light. Bill lived most of his life in Miami, FL and moved to Ocala in 1995. Bill was a member of Maricamp Church of Christ. He served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and served the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary for 25 years. He was a member of the Lions Club, District 35A and served practically every office, including a national office. Bill served with the Oak Run Cops and also volunteered as an Oak Run Xerox operator. He was a member of, and volunteered for Act IV with the Ocala Civic Center. Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Norma Cartledge of Ocala, FL and his daughter Pam Carver (Mel) of Stuart, FL and cousins Arlene and Thomas Cartledge. His brother Robert Cartledge still resides in Miami, FL. He is also survived by three granddaughters Kim, Krystal and Kara; a great-grandson Jack and great-granddaughter Ella. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Cartledge, his daughter, Cathy Cartledge, and his parents, Bill and Margaret Cartledge of Miami, FL. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 3:00PM to 4:00PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th Street, Ocala, followed at 4:00PM with a Service officiated by Pastor Jeff Robison and full military honors conducted by the Angela Santos VFW Post Honorguard. Burial at a later date will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
