Obituary of Kathleen R. Franzen

THE VILLAGES — Kathleen "Kathy" Franzen, 67, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010. Mrs. Franzen was born in Willimantic, Conn., and moved to The Villages from Forest, Va., in 2004. She operated a clothing embroidery service; enjoyed her role as "Katydid" in The Villages Clown Alley 179; and enjoyed playing mah-jongg. Survivors include her husband, Eugene; daughters, Kristen Franzen, Walterboro, S.C., Kendall Henry, Lemont, Ill.; one grandson; mother, Julia Reardon, Leesburg; and sister, Lesley Buckley, The Villages. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at St. Timothy Catholic Community, The Villages. Memorial contributions may be made to: Marion County Hospice, 3231 SW 34th Avenue, Ocala, FL 33474. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, is in charge of arrangements.
