Obituary of Artie Rebecca Proctor

PROCTOR, ARTIE R., 84 Summerfield - Artie R. Proctor, 84, died in Summerfield on September 23, 2010. She was born in Lakeland, FL and moved to this area in 1944. She was a member of Pedro Baptist Church, a homemaker and a published poet, author and song writer. She is survived by her grandson, Michael Lloyd (Jennifer) Proctor and a great-grandmother to Caleb, Sydney and Tenley Proctor and sisters, Myrtie Louise Norris and Ethel Estelle Walker. She is predeceased by her husband, Julian Proctor, son, Ronnie Julian Proctor, and sisters, Lillian Virginia Palen, Effie Alvina Dye and Thelma Lovetta Ard. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, September 27, 2010 at Pedro Baptist Church, with Pastor Chuck Miles and Pastor Ken Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Level Cemetery, Oxford. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pedro Baptist Church Youth Fund.
