Obituary of Robert John Salus

Robert John Salus, age 72, of The Villages, Florida passed away at Villages Hospice House on September 26, 2010. He was born in Pittston, PA and retired to The Villages from East Stroudsburg, PA in 1996. He retired after 29 years as Planner/Scheduler with M&M Mars Corporation, Hackettstown, NJ. Robert attended St. Timothy Catholic Community, and member of St. Paul's Catholic Community in Leesburg, FL. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 3rd & 4th Degree, Grand Knight in East, Stroudsburg, PA, Past President of PA Club. He was a volunteer at The Villages Hospital and was a veteran of the US Navy. Survivors include Jacqueline Salus, wife The Villages, Fl; Robert Salus, son, Hackettstown, NJ; Kevin Salus, son, Lewisville, North Carolina; Lori Ann Buonasera, daughter, Fruitland Park, Fl; Richard Salus, brother, Hershey, PA; Barbara Salus, sister, Pittsburgh, PA and 5 - Grandchildren. Memorial mass will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 4, 2010 at St. Timothy Catholic Community. Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl, with Military Honors. Gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening, October 3, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service of The Villages.
