Obituary of Linda Nichols Smith

SMITH, LINDA NICHOLS Anthony - Linda Nichols Smith, 68, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Covington, GA and had been a resident of Anthony for the past 47 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, gardening, growing and canning vegetables, craft and computer. She also loved cooking for others. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Leslie Smith of Anthony, her sons, Gregory Alan Smith of Anthony, Ronald Keith Smith of Citra and Jason Leslie Smith of Spring Hill, her sister, Loree Music of Cross City, and her nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Wayne Smith and her brother, Jerry Nichols. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala with Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 PM. Interment will be in Anthony Cemetery.
