Obituary of Donald Arthur Lasby

THE VILLAGES — Donald A. Lasby, 78, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010. Mr. Lasby was born in Caroline, N.Y., and moved to The Villages from Roselle, N.J. He was a retired salesman with General Dynamics; member of Village View Community Church, Summerfield; a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War; his hobbies were golf, football; and he was a history buff. Survivors include his wife, Rosalie M.; daughter, Diana Long, Colorado; sons Marty, Missouri, Don, Arizona; brothers Roy and Roger, both of California; stepson, Michael DelCampo, Florida; stepdaughters Cheryl Arthur, New Jersey, Donna Osteen, Florida; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, is in charge of arrangements.
