The memories are many and pleasant as I spent a good part of my early life on the farm but what I want to remind everyone of is what we are all left with. Although sadness weighs on our hearts, I want to remind all of us of what Donald Roger Yule left to us: his legacy. His legacy will always live on in the hearts and minds of the people he knew and loved. To me that means a gentle and kind man who never spoke a cross word, a man who dedicated his life to service of his country, community, and family and a man with the integritiy and work ethic that serves as an example to all. Uncle Donald will live on in my life through the stories and events that helped shaped my life and he and will be greatly missed. Johnny

Robie,
I am saddened by your loss (and mine). Uncle Donald was a special person. I spent a lot of time with him working the hayfields when I was a teenager and remember his daily routine of milking cows early and late seven days a week. He talked seldom but was quick to laugh. I last saw him and met you at my father's (Curtis) funeral in Jordanville what seems like a lifetime ago. The only picture I ever saw of himj was his photo in his sailor's uniform, which I will never forget. He lived a good life and I am proud he was my uncle!
