Obituary of John Bryn Davies

THE VILLAGES — John B. Davies, 73, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010. Mr. Davies was born in Highland Park, Mich., and moved to The Villages from Tucson, Ariz., in 2004. He was a retired chief financial officer with Ferro Manufacturing Corp.; a member of the Lions Club; St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Community; and enjoyed sailing and ultra-light flying. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; mother, Alva Davies, Dearborn, Mich.; stepson, James Kurnik, Lowell, Ind.; stepdaughter, Janet Lewis, Canton, Ga.; and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, is in charge of arrangements.
