Obituary of Ruth H. Beckwith

Ruth H. Beckwith, 83, of Ocala, FL, a homemaker, died on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Legacy Hospice House, Ocala. Born in Salamanca, NY on September 9, 1927, daughter to the late George and Alice (Hogue) Steinbroner, she moved here from Hornell, NY in 1977. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard W. Beckwith and daughter Bridgett Beckwith. Ruth loved her family and life to the fullest. " She was the hostess with the mostest" ; and was loved by all. Ruth was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and Hospice of Marion County. She is survived by 7 children: Paula B. Fucarino, (Morris)Bushnell, FL; Gloria J. Hasting (Dwight), Plant City, FL; Stephen E. Beckwith (Linda), Mary Helen Zuzzio (Marty) and Bonnie Wright (Richard), all of Ocala, FL; Richard W. Beckwith, Jr. (Darlene) Quincy, FL; and Barbara Muzi (Tony), Glen Allen, VA: sisters Sue Steinbroner, Hornell,NY and Frances Lord (Roger), Salamanca,NY and brother Dan Steinbroner (Punky), Olean, NY: 13 Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at her residence, 1025 SE 24th Street, Ocala, FL 34471 from Noon to 5:00PM. Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of Marion County. Condonences may be given to www.hiers-baxley.com.
