Obituary of Raymond J. Skourn

Raymond J. Skourn, 80, of Ocala, passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Mr. Skourn is a native of Pittsburgh moving to this area from Holder, FL, 7 years ago. He served in the Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict, was a retired Inspector for the FAA, and a lifetime member of the Angela Santos VFW Post 4781, Professional Pilots Association in Columbus OH, and NARF. He is survived by his wife Mary Skourn; sons John (Sharon) Skourn of Reno, NV and Raymond (Loretta) Skourn, Jr. of Buckeye Lake, OH; daughter Karen (Bryan) Helton of Delaware, OH; sister Emma Dick of Pittsburgh, PA and granddaughter, Angela Helton. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Florida National Cemetery. A procession will leave from Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, TimberRidge at noon.
