Obituary of Carol Elaine Helton

Carol E. Helton, 60, of Ocala, FL, passed on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Ocala. Born on August 11, 1950, in Alexandria, VA, daughter to the late Russell and Esther Marie Amburn, she moved to Ocala in 1974 from Kentucky. Carol was employed with Oakhurst Rehab of Ocala as Supervisor of housekeeping for the last 26 years. She was lovingly known as "Mamaw" by her grandchildren; who were her life and she cherished each one. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Ray Helton, the love of her life on November 28, 2004 after 37 years of marriage. Carol is survived by her children: Harold Ray Helton (Kimm), Rachel Helton (Jeffrey), Michael Helton (Stormy), Grandchildren: Lauren, Andrea, Jeffrey, Kasey, Logan, Meghan, Katelyn, Alyson, and Cheyenne: all of Ocala: Step Mother Barbara Amburn: Sister Tina Rector (Chris) Brothers Mike Long and Russell Amburn, all of VA and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala with the funeral service to follow on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 10:00AM.
