Obituary of Lanny Gray Culver
Lanny Gray Culver, died Saturday, October 16, 2010
He was born in Rochelle, LA, spent most of his life in Memphis, TN before moving to FL in 2001. He retired as President of Memphis Int'l Aircraft Sales and was inducted into the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame in 2007. Lanny had a keen interest in all the latest technological gadgets, and enjoyed golfing, traveling, and socializing with his many friends and relatives. Throughout his lengthy battle with leukemia, he never lost his remarkable sense of humor. He was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church. He was an Air Force Veteran.
Lanny was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Wayne Culver. His survivors include his wife, Bettye; daughter, Sherry Neely, granddaughter, Savannah Brown and her husband, Jeremy Brown, and nephews Bruce Culver and Perry Culver.
A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, FL. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 23, 2010 with service following at 11:00 AM
