Obituary of Gail Thomas Gee
Gail T. Gee, 45, of Ocala, FL passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Ocala. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on April 28, 1965 and grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas. Gail was known throughout the Quarter Horse Industry where she won many awards, including two Youth World Championships. She was an active member of the Chapter D, P.E.O. Gail was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Blytheville, AR. Gail graduated from Arkansas North Eastern College with an Associate's Degree. She held the position of Secretary-Treasurer of Gee Agrivestments while in Arkansas. She relocated to Ocala, FL in 1998 and became the owner and operator of Derby Daze Farm ; where she bred, trained and raced thoroughbred horses, including Hooh Why; who later went on to win the Ashland Stakes (Grade 1), a Grade 3 and many other races. She was an active member of The Florida Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Assoc. Family, friends and horses were Gail's "greatest passions" during her life. Gail was preceded in death by her brother Greg Gee. She is survived by her daughters: Rebecca Morales and her husband Lesther and Rosemary Pease; her parents Rosemary and E.B. Gee, Jr., brother E.B. Gee, III and sister Ginger Gee; also her aunt Barbara Sherman and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 3:00PM at Derby Daze Farm located at 2599 NW 100th Avenue in Ocala, FL.
