Obituary of Mary Duke

Mrs. Mary L. Duke, 72, of Ocala, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Tuscany Hospice House. A native of Plant City, Florida, Mrs. Duke lived most of her life in Marion County. A homemaker, she was an active member of Living Waters Worship Center (formerly the Ocala Church of God) for over 40 years. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Duke, daughter Denise Barfield, son Michael Duke and wife Brenda, brothers George Shelley and Johnny Shelley, grandson Paul Duke, granddaughter Christina Duke, great grandson Donavon Duke, and great granddaughter Kennedy Stubblefield. She was preceded in death by her brother Clyde Shelley. Funeral services for Mrs. Duke will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until service time. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park, 1515 NE 3rd St., Ocala.
