Obituary of Barbara A. Burrell

BURRELL, Barbara Barbara Eubanks Burrell died on November 4, 2010. Barbara was born in Augusta, Georgia on July 9, 1934. She has made Ocala her home since 1975. Barbara was a history teacher at Forest High School and a homemaker. She served in ministry along side her husband Theodore (Ted) Burrell at First Baptist Church Fort McCoy, Trinity Baptist Church and Highlands Baptist Church Ocala. The Burrells celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on July 31st of this year. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved the Lord Jesus and her family and served them her entire life. She is survived by her husband, her daughters and their spouses - Julie and Bill Brewer, Lorie and Rob Glisson, her grandchildren - Joshua Brewer, Andrew Brewer, Bradley Glisson and Ashley Glisson, and her sisters - Helen Zimmerman and Judy Reese. Visitation will be Saturday November 6, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at Heirs-Baxley Funeral Home, 910 East Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL. Services to honor her will be held Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Ft. McCoy at 11350 N.E. Highway 316, Fort McCoy, Florida 32134. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Ft. McCoy, Trinity Baptist Church of Ocala, or the Alzheimer's Association of Marion County.
