Obituary of Carmelo A. Cammarata
Carmelo A. "Mel" Cammarata, age 79, of Ocala, FL passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010. He was born in Boston, MA on February 14, 1931. He was raised in Cambridge, MA. After graduating from Rindge High School in Cambridge he joined the US Army and served four years. He graduated from New England School of Art with a Bachelors degree. He moved to Ocala from Boston in 1982. Before his retirement he worked at Lookheed-Martin in Ocala as a Production Control Coordinator. Carmelo was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Candler, FL. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Norma L. Cammarata of Ocala, FL; son Paul Cammarata of Medford, MA; son Douglas Cammarata of Ocala, FL; daughter Susan Petrino of Tuscon, AZ; daughter Karen Spata of Summerfield, FL; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A memorial service with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00am.
