Obituary of Karen L. Meyer

Summerfield - Karen L. Meyer, 74, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Villages Regional Hospital. Born in Holgate, OH, she moved to Florida in 1997. She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in the Villages and worked in the banking industry for 37 years. She enjoyed spending time visiting family and friends, reading, movies, and horses. She is survived by her husband Willis Meyer of Summerfield, FL; children Sheree Shafer (Tom) of Perrysburg, OH, John Meyer of Ocklawaha, FL, Stacie Wells (Chad) of Belleview, FL; 7 grandchildren Lindsey, Drew, Jake, Jennifer, Rush, Gunnar, and Wyatt; Sisters Donna Curtis of Holgate, OH, Ruth Oakley of Ottawa, OH, Betty Guelde of Summerfield, FL, Jeanette Brink of Holgate, OH; Brothers Marvin Eis of Napoleon, OH, John Eis of Winter Park, FL. Karen was preceded in death by sister Evelyn Shorts of Holgate, OH. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2010 at Hope Lutheran Church in The Villages, FL. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - The Villages.
