Obituary of Richard Paul Costello
THE VILLAGES — Richard P. Costello, 81, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010.
Mr. Costello was born in Tampa and moved to The Villages from Gulf Breeze in 2005. He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church; was a member of The Knights of Columbus, Parish Council, St. Anne's Catholic Church, Gulf Breeze; he was a member of the Parkinson's Support Group of The Villages; a 30-year member of Rotary International and received the Paul Harris Outstanding Contribution Award. He enjoyed sailing, played the piano, guitar and harmonica; took two church mission trips to Chimbote, Peru, and tutored math and English grammar in the Spanish language to middle and high school students.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; daughters, Paula Peters, San Antonio, Texas, and Alice Rivera, Pittsfield, Mass; son, Thomas, Winter Park; brothers, David and John Costello, and two grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church with inurnment following at 2 p.m., at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
