Obituary of Raymond Louis Talsky
Raymond Louis Talsky, 78 years of age, went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2010. Ray was born on May 2, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI. He ran a successful business as Talsky Builders for several years. He then moved his family to Blythe, CA where he worked for the Palo Verde Unified School District and taught himself locksmithing. After several years he then moved his family to Ocala, FL where he started Ray the Locksmith in 1968. Ray and his wife, Dolores, ran the business until 2008.
Ray was married to his beautiful bride, Dolores Talsky, and would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on November 26, 2010.
He served with honor in the United States Air Force and loved sharing stories of his military experience. Ray was an avid Gator football fan and supporter. He was a life-time member of the Ocala Elks Club as well as a member of VFW.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores Craig Talsky, his five children, Judy (James) Ley; Bobby (Tammey) Talsky, Karl (Heather) Talsky, Kathy (George) Altman, Carol Talsky. Grandchildren, Chuck (Danielle) Porter, Chris Porter, Cheryl (Kris) Jolly, Jeanne Ley; Hannah Talsky, Denver Talsky, Chase Pardee, Marshall Pardee (deceased), Asa Pardee; Heather Altman, Sonny Altman, Megan King and Riley King and nine great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings, James (Sue) Talsky, Ralph Talsky, Leona (Harry) Kaltenbrun, Terry (Ruth Ann) Talsky, Arlene Kressin and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Harry-Anna Trust Fund at the Ocala Elks Club in memory of Raymond Talsky. Services will be held at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL; a visitation will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL. 34470.
