Obituary of Joseph Lynn Alderson

Joseph L. "Joe" Alderson, age 84, of Ocala, FL passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010. He was born in Murray, KY on July 23, 1926. He lived in Murray until joining the US Army where he served during WWII. After his military service he moved to Detroit, MI where he worked for Chrysler Corp. for 41 years. Joe was a Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America Troop # 1592 of Madison Heights, MI. His hobbies included camping and volunteering for the pancake breakfasts at Palm Cay Retirement Community where he and his wife lived for 19 years. Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years Lessie Alderson; son Mark (Debbie) Alderson of Mansfield, TX; daughter Tina Miller of Trenton, MI; son Jeffrey Alderson of Warren, MI; brother Thomas Alderson of Naples, FL; sister Anita Marine of The Villages, FL; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Private cremation services are being handled by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Ocala, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Research Foundation 1236 Ginger Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA 23453 in memory of Joe.
