Obituary of Roy M. Moorman

Roy M. Moorman, 66, lifetime resident of Marion County, FL, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in Ocala. Roy was a retired captain for the Fire Department for the city of Ocala where he served for 30 years. He was also a member of the Lighthouse Church of God in Summerfield, FL. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, but the most enjoyment in his life came from his family and grandchildren. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Frances Moorman, Ocala; children, Glen Moorman , Ocala; Connie Willis and her husband Rusty of Morriston, FL; brothers Harrell Moorman of Summerfield, FL and Earl Moorman of Ocala, FL; and grandchildren Canyon and Morgan Willis, and Brooke Moorman. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 2:00PM with Rev. Randy Stone officiating in the chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
