Obituary of Alva Stephen Brown

BROWN, A. STEPHEN, 76 Ocala - A. Stephen Brown, age 76, Passed away November 25th; 2010 at his home in Ocala under the loving care of his Family & Hospice of Marion County. He was born in Rochester, New York and resided in Canandaigua, New York for over 30 years before moving to Ocala Florida in 1985. He was the Transportation Manager for the Canandaigua City School Systems, Vice President of Operations for Upstate Transport Consortium in Upstate New York; before moving to Florida where he was an MRO Buyer for ClosetMaid in Ocala for over 10 years before retiring in 2000. Stephen was of Catholic faith and attended Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church. He always enjoyed spending time with family; was a very devoted Husband, Son, Brother, Father and Grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Alva & Mary and Brother Tom. He is survived by his Wife Lena, two Sons Dennis & David (Debi) Brown, Daughters Shelly Brown (Jim Kerr) & Sheila Hayes, three Sisters Barb (Walt) Skapi, Linda & Leonard Johnson, Debi & Brian Feffenies, and Brother Frank. Grandchildren Samuel Schulze, Joshua Frankish, Stacy (Jason) Bresee, 4 Great grandchildren Justin, Hunter, Noah, & Forest Bresee and several nieces & nephews. Services will be held Wednesday December 1st; 11:00am at Our Lady Of The Springs Catholic Church 4047 N.E. 21st; Street in Ocala. A reception will be held following the service at Ocala East Villas Clubhouse 191 N.E. 63rd; Court. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478
