Obituary of Louvenie Waldrop

THE VILLAGES — Louvenie "Venie" Waldrop, 96, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010. Mrs. Waldrop was born in Commerce, Ga., and moved to The Villages in 2005 from Greenville, R.I. She was a Baptist, a retired cloth inspector and loved quilting and gardening. Survivors include her daughters Sandra Ledbetter, The Villages, Joan Fowler, North Scituate, R.I., and Joyce Dulude, Cranston, R.I.; son, James, The Villages; sisters Pauline Waldrop, Sarasota and Mae Gilman, Largo; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Villagers for Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, is in charge of arrangements.
