Obituary of Marshall G. Sayre

Marshall G. Sayre, Age 85, of The Villages, FL, passed away November 29, 2010. He was born in Wheeling, WV. Marshall was A Jennings Scholar with two master's degrees -- one from the University of Pittsburg and the other from Akron University. He retired from high school administration after 32 years serving as the assistant principal of Glen-Oaks high school and coach for their football and basketball teams. He retired to FL from North Canton, OH in 1998. Marshall was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Fruitland Park, FL and enjoyed golf and Ohio State's Buckeyes His survivors include: Leslie Ann Devlin, Daughter-in-law, Sun City Center, FL; Brian T. Sayre, Grandson, Pittsburgh, PA; James A. Sayre, Grandson, Boardman, OH; He was preceded in death by wife, Carolyn; and son, Gordon. Memorial Services will be: December 23, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, FL.
