Obituary of Myrtle Neon Young Davies

Mrs. Myrtle Young Davies, 53, of Silver Springs, died Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Sylvia's Hospice House. A native of Marion County, she had worked as a Medical Records Clerk in the Marion County Jail for over 10 years. She was also a certified instructor with the Donna Dewberry School of Art. Her hobbies included sewing, painting, and crafts of all types. She is survived by her husband John Davies, daughter Sara Walls, son Cory Pope, sisters Minnie Maynard, Una Fay Painter, Hester Cline, and Maggie Bullard, brothers James Young, Earnest Young, Bill Young, Darrell Young, and John Young, granddaughter Rowan Walls, grandson Carson Walls, 12 nieces and 15 nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Davies will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, with Pastor Lenny Cote officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-7 PM.
