Obituary of Dorothy Thom

SUMMERFIELD — Dorothy Thom, 67, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010. Mrs. Thom was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Summerfield from Massapequa Park, N.Y., in 2001. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; was a member of the Del Webb Fountain Singers; the Del Webb Bowling League; and she enjoyed bowling. Survivors include her husband, William; daughters Dot Johnson, Lindenhurst, N.Y., Lori Murphy, Bethpage, N.Y., Kathleen Fullerton, Massapequa, Christine Bergonzi, Levittown, N.Y.; two sisters; two brothers; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated later in Long Island, N.Y. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265.
