Obituary of Charles Albert Blair

Charles Albert "Buddy" Blair passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Legacy Hospice House. Born in Marion County, he lived here all his life. He was a graduate of North Marion High School and Central Florida Community College. He was the past president of Chazal-Blair Insurance Agency and was the current president of The Bonita Fishing Club. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ocala, Ocala Elks Lodge No.286, and a lifelong Gator fan. Buddy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Turner Blair; his son, Charles Justin Blair; his daughter, Amanda Blair Dexheimer; grandchildren, Gabriella Lee Blair, Charles Jakob Blair, Elijah Lawrence Blair, Lilla Mae Dexheimer; three sisters, Dottie Rou, Marianne Crokin, Jane Grizzard and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Bennett Blair; mother, Annie Sue Blair; and daughter, Heather Lee Blair. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Ocala on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the following: The Monroe Foundation, March of Dimes, Interfaith Emergency Services, Hospice of Marion County, or a charity of your choice.
