Obituary of Arthur Robert Pontbriant

SUMMERFIELD — Arthur Robert Pontbriant, 84, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010. Mr. Pontbriant was born in Webster, Mass., and moved to Summerfield from Stamford, Conn. in 2004. He was a retired accountant with various companies in Connecticut; of the Catholic faith; member of the Spruce Creek Golf & Country Club Veterans Association; an avid bowler; and an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his companion, Carla E. Hoeppner, Summerfield; son, Craig R.; Oak Ridge, Tenn.; brother, Donald F., Norwalk, Conn.; and two grandchildren. Committal services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of The Villages is in charge of arrangements.
