Obituary of John A. Spitz

The Villages - John A. Spitz, 68, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010. Mr. Spitz was born in Chicago and moved to The Villages from California in 2007. He was a retired director of the Higher Education Personnel board for Washington State University; was a Protestant; and an avid Chicago bears football fan. Survivors include his wife, Carol; son, Michael, Los Angeles; daughter, Gina, Madison, Wis.; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 23rd at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
