Dearest Nana,
Words cannot express the feelings in my heart, but I will give it my best. During my lifetime I have never known any other to show such kindness, generosity, strength of character and love towards others. Many times I found myself to be downtrodden only to look up and see you there smiling. You lifted me up time and time again and showed me the meaning of love kindness, patience and understanding. My heart is breaking. I will forever miss you as will we all. I see you now with Grandpa dancing in a grand ballroom in the grace of the Lord. Hold my place at your table untill we can be together again. All of my love forever and ever Nana. Untill we can hold hands again.
Your loving grandson,
Roger Jr.

Dearest Mary,
It has been a wonderful blessing in our life to have met you through my Mother, Dorothy Dettmer. She considered you her closest friend. I remember when you were both Angels for Halloween in 2009. How poetic that in 2010 you both received your wings from God. Though we are left here on Earth, the friendship our families have made will go on for years. I feel fortunate to have met them and I will cherish the memories we all made with you and Mom, but most of all Mary, the time you had with my Mom. I thank the Lord above you were there every day with her, and you enriched my life beyond the scope anyone could imagine. So Mary, I Love You- as does my wife, Terry, and our grandchildren that were lucky enough to have spent time with you.
With our Love Always,
Bill Burton

Nana,
You were and still are a very special lady. I remember all those times you came to visit and made us laugh. You had a long journey and I know you made the very best out of life no matter what. I also remember seeing Charlie when I was a little girl when you lived in Astoria. All I know now is that your dancing with him and now I know your more than happy. That is all I would ever wish...is for you to know that your always in our hearts. I love you very much Nana
I miss you
Ashley

Dearest Nana, You have always been an inspiration to me, such a strong independent woman, with a sense of humor. I remember all the fun times at your house in Astoria. Man, you made some dynamite dumplings!!!!!! We all loved going to Nana's house, it was like a museum. You always put a smile on our face and made us laugh. But, I know you will continue to make us all laugh and smile because you will forever be in our hearts. May you rest in peace. We love you and you will truly be missed.
Your grand-daughter,
JoAnne
