Obituary of Carmen Putnam

PUTNAM, CARMEN, 80 Ocklawaha - Carmen Putnam, 80, died at The Villages Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 26, 2010. She was born in Key West, Florida and moved to this area in 1988. She was of Baptist faith. She retired from Ocala Regional Medical Center in March after 22 years in food service. She enjoyed flea markets, yard sales and her kids and grand-kids. Mrs. Putman is survived by her sons, Charles Metcalf, Georgia, Willie Metcalf, Key West, FL; daughters, Carmen Thompson, Belleview, Elizabeth "Liza" Hinde, Ocklawaha, FL; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is predeceased by her sons, Roy and Carl Metcalf and 4 brothers. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, December 31, 2010 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview with a gathering of family and friends one half hour prior to the service.
