Obituary of Scott Andrus Grippin
Scott A. Grippin, age 50, passed away in his home December 25, 2010 in Fruitland Park, FL. He worked as an Aquatic Biologist for Lake County for ten years. He was born in Sidney NY and moved to Florida in 1984 to settle and have a family.
Scott was predeceased by his father Charles Richard Grippin, Lady Lake, FL and is survived by his mother Theresa J. Grippin, The Villages, Florida; Travis Grippin, son; Palm Harbor, Florida; Amber Grippin, daughter, Daytona Beach, Florida; Brandon Klaiber, stepson, St. Petersburg, Florida; Amanda Klaiber, stepdaughter; Charlotte, NC; his brother Duffy Grippin (Mickey), Homer, NY; and a sister Teri Boughton (Art), Newark Valley, NY and nephews and nieces.
Scott was compelled to do the very best at whatever he pursued. He proved to be one of a very few able to pass Florida's rigorous pest control certification on the first take. His passion was his Ducati motorcycle and he achieved his amateur racing license only a few years ago and did very well in the competitions that he entered."
His co-workers and family agree that you will never meet a more loyal friend who would readily give aid to others. Scott will be missed for his quick wit, his compassion and his fierce ability to love deeply.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Leesburg Humane Society, 41250 Esmeralda Island Road, Leesburg, FL 34748.
