I first heard Eld. Bass preach when I was 12yrs. I am thankful my daughter grew up hearing him also. We are so blessed and so thankful for the hero of faith in our lives. Eld Bass will be missed by us and our church family in Vidor, Texas. The Brucia Family
Come Home Soldier
(Lyrics)
Come home soldier,
your victory has been won
you kept the fight of faith,
and the battle has been done
come home soldier,
and when your mind has seemed to fail you,
and you have no strength to stand,
come home soldier,
come and kiss heaven's land
come home soldier,
the table has been spread
come home soldier
The hero's of faith join in praise as they beckon you ward' home
don't be afraid to make your way,
it's your last mile home
come home soldier,
Jesus now awaits you,
run to his open arms and cry holy around the throne
lay down your cross for the crown of life you've won
come home soldier
Written in honor of Eld. J. T. Bass

I work at Steak n Shake and Mr Bass would come in there to have his burger and coke, bring the coke with the burger and make sure it was a good tomato! He was a sweet man and the servers would argue about who was going to serve him. I consider myself fortunate to have know him.

Rev. J.T Bass was the best Pastor that i ever had. He was a compassionet, loving man. He not only pastored me he was like a dad to me. He was always there when you needed him. He drove to Chiefland, FL. one time and prayed for my brother-in-law and he recieved the holy ghost before he passed away with cancer. That was the kind of man that Bro. Bass was and there will never be another one like him. He will be missed but he blessed so many lives while he lived.
