I don't think anyone will ever know just how many lives Katie touched in a positive way with that quick, beautiful smile, laughter that rang out and a helping hand to anyone that needed it. The memories we all hold dear in our hearts is only a small portion of what Katie was all about. Carla & Dwight, from the bottom of my heart; be proud always just to know what a giving and loving soul your beautiful daughter was and still is. I know I have truly been blessed by God in just being able to have been a part of her life for the short time He loaned her to us.

katie was one of the sweetesst peolpe i've ever met. thanksgiving 2009 we all got together at nenaw's house. it had been awhile since me and daniel had seen her but it was great spending time with her whenever we got the chance. my kids adored her especially my daughter hailey. she always called her "her buddy". i'm glad i have a picture of them together from that day. it's always been one of mine and hailey's favorites. she will be truly and deeply missed. as far as hailey's concerned she says she will always be her buddy and now hailey says she is her beautiful angel and has that picture in a frame. we love you katie and you will truly be missed. aunt carla and uncle dwight our hearts are with you and words cannot express how sadened by this we are. keep faith and know your beautiful angel will always be with you watching over you and in this time know that me and daniel and the kids are just a phone call away and will always be here for you. we love you and god bless always.

Katie anD I were friends when she lived in Jacksonville. We met in class at Coastal and helped each other all semester. I used to read her what was on the board during math class because she never wore her glasses. We were avid farm friends on facebook and shared numerous inside jokes. I remember laughing while she tried to drive Mikes standard shift truck. We kept each other company while Mike was on deployment and my boyfriend was out of state. She was a wonderful woman and had so much to give. She will truely be missed by many. My deepest sympathy to her parents, Carla and Dwight.

I will always remember how Katie would sleep on the old sofa in our office at our old State Attorney's Office. When she wasn't sleeping she would usually be talking to one of her many friends on the phone. Whenever Katie came into our office her smile would make her shine.
I want the family to know that I will always be hear to cry and pray with you whenever you need me. My family as well will continue to pray for you.

I will never forget the day we took Michael to Jacksonville for Boot Camp.
Katie and I cried together all the way home, before we even got out of
Jacksonville we had to stop to buy more tissues, I decided to buy toilet
paper because the tissues were so expensive, we got some laughs out
of that. We'd stop crying for a little while then a song would come on the radio
and one or the other would start all over again.. Katie was a part of
our family for just a short time.
?Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
