Obituary of Herbert Delong Mollett
MOLLETT, HERBERT DELONG
Ocala, FL - Herbert Delong Mollett, 69, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. He was born in Huntington, WV and moved to Ocala from Trenton, NJ in 2001. He was a supervisor for the Dept. of Transportation for the State of New Jersey. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed being with his family, bowling, rose gardening and loved animals. He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He is survived by his loving children, Stacy Ann Staeck of Chicago, IL and Delon Mollett of Dallas, TX, his brother, David Mollett of Belleview, his sisters, Aleta Short of KY and Lorena Gay Brunson of Aurora, OR and his three grandchildren Conner, Owen and Grace and a number of nieces and nephews and his special dog "Maggie Mae". Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at 4:00 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3-4 PM. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Marion County Humane Society.
