Obituary of Loyd Dennis Brantley

Loyd D. "Denny" Brantley, 67, of Beverly Hills, FL. Passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011 at home. Born in Corpus Christi, TX on November 3, 1943, son to the late Loyd F. and Rosella (McGarry) Brantley, he grew up in California, moved to Florida in 1969 and has lived in and around Citrus County for the last twenty two years. He was the former owner and operator of Apollo Pools and Spas, Inc., Hernando, FL. He also served with the Los Angeles Police Dept. for several years. His passion was photography and he enjoyed golfing and politics. Loyd was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church of Citrus Springs and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6168, Lecanto and formerly with the Knights of Columbus Council #8150, Dunnellon. He was also a member of the Sons of The American Legion Squad #0155, Crystal River. Loyd was also preceded in death by his beloved wife Anne J. Brantley in 2003. He is survived by his children; Chris Brantley and Natalie Krause: grandchildren; Jared, Nikki, Tonia and Morgan: and his three week old great granddaughter, Brooklyn Anne: siblings; Carey Brantley and Patricia Martin. The Family will receive their friends on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 3:00PM until 6:30PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala, FL (phone# 352 873-4114).
