Obituary of Louis Carmine Taffuri

OCALA — Louis C. Taffuri, 82, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011. Mr. Taffuri was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Ocala from Jackson, N.J., in 2010. He was a retired building manager for Verizon Wireless; a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; and a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Jackson. Survivors include his sons Jeffrey, The Villages, Carmine, Middletown, N.J.; and daughters Michele Fiore, Scottsdale, Ariz., Denise Burgess, Manalapan, N.J., Stephanie Taffuri, Kingsbury, Texas; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood. Interment will take place at Saint Charles Cemetery, Long Island, N.Y.
