Obituary of Russell Joseph Marcotte

Russell Marcotte Born March 14, 1928 in Chicopee, Massachusetts; died January 24, 2011 in Ocala, Florida. He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute in Boston, MA; and served our country in the US Naval Air Corps during WW II. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church; and he also attended Ocala West United Methodist Church. Russell was employed for 38 years with the IBM Corporation in the Field Engineering and Marketing Divisions in Western MA, and Hartford, CT. In his retirement he moved to Cape Cod and Florida where he enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, bowling, and bird carving. He was an active member of the "Oak Run" travel club in Ocala, Florida and hosted many, many trips with this wife, Jackie. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Jackie of Ocala, Florida; and her son, John Spoerer of Connecticut; his two children, Jerome and wife, Kathy of California, and daughter Jessica Winstanley and husband, Michael of Virginia; brother, Richard and family of Massachusetts; sister, Vivian Barnard and family of Michigan. Memorial mass will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 8:30 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala, Florida. Inurnment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
