I know it's been nearly 3 years for me to get ready to say goodbye to you but it's too soon and my heart is broken. I wish I had another hour to tell you how much I love you and will miss you and all your stories about our wonderful family. We had lots of fun and laughter together and also some tears.

Dear Mrs. C - Mom, words are so hard to put together. I would just like to tell you thank you. Thank you and Mr. C for welcoming me and treating me like part of the family from day one. Your love and kindness, not only to me, but to my whole family will always be remembered. There are so many great stories and memories we have, but one of my favorites is when you and Mr.C came over to my parents house to meet eachother for the very first time. That was the start of not only a beautiful friendship, but the start of an even bigger family, which was so very special to me. Matty and I are truly blessed, that are families not only became great friends, but really loved eachother. Thank you for making each time we were together, whether it be going out for a family event, shopping or just having out cup of tea at the kitchen table, a happy joyful time. We always had a lot of laughs, and even if it was a serious time, you always saw the positive, brighter side of everything. Remember all the irish songs we used to sing? I want to tell you that all of these things/times/memories will live on in all of our hearts. We will cherish them all. You always told me that you gave ME the best. You were right, my husband Matty is the best. Thank you and Mr. C so very much for him. He is just like you both, full of love and kindness for everyone. He is a wonderful husband and Father, and I know how very proud you both are of him. And how blessed all your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren are, to have parents like you. I know this is a temporary time, we will all be together one day. I know heaven is having a huge celebration now, and Mrs. C not only are you with Mr.C and Dolly and your own parents, but I know someone who loved you so much, and you truly were one of her best friends, and thats my mom Arlene. Now with both of you up there, heaven will never be same!!!!!! My heart is very sad, but it is also filled with gratitude and love. Thank you for being such an inspiration to us all, teaching and showing us that really all you need is love. I love you Love Pam

Hi-ya Mrs. C. I remember the day 25 years ago when I first met you as clear as it was yesterday. You were sitting at that huge kitchen table in Monroe having tea. You greeted me with the biggest, warmest smile I have ever seen. That greeting certainly eased (mind you, I was told you were extremely reserved and conservative and I had to watch my P's & Q's around you) the nervousness of meeting your boyfriend's mother for the first time. We hit it off instantly and I QUICKLY realized that Dan was pulling my leg. Your generosity, wit, wisdom and zest for life has certainly had a great impact on my life and my children's lives. Randy and Collette absolutely adore you. You made them feel so very special every time they saw you. As if they were the only grandchildren you had. You made all your grandchildren feel that way.
I will never forget the many dances Dan & I went to with you and Mr. C at OTOW. Dan and I just loved watching you two dance. I imagine you two are doing the Lindy right now up in heaven. I so enjoyed all your stories of the "old" days and how things were when you were growing up.
If I were able to have one more conversation with you, I would tell you how much I admire your strength and courage. How much I appreciate you and thank you for so many memories that I can not even list. For without you, I wouldn't have Dan and all the memories of the last 25 years of my life with him. Thank you for being.....you.
Your legacy lives on. Rest in peace Mrs. C.
Love ya,
Miriam

Mom,
Words alone can not express all that you have meant to me. Now that you are gone, I feel a great emptiness knowing that I will no longer be able to share with you the simple moments in life that we often remember for a lifetime (i.e. the kids 1st day of school, Ryan losing a tooth, John's game winning hit, grandma's famous root beer floats).
Although my heart aches and I'm deeply saddened by your passing, above all else, there is nothing more important to me now then knowing that you are no longer suffering. It also gives me great comfort to know that you are again together with Dad, Dolly, Uncle John, Aunt Mary, Uncle Terry, Uncle Jim, Mrs.Ruffer and so many others who were waiting to greet you in heaven.
Little John, Ryan and Allison will always be reminded of how amazing a person their grandma was...
I would give anything for one more afternoon walk to Grants for a grilled cheese and a cup of tomato soup…
Love always and forever,
John

" Dear Aunt Anne, Your loss to so many of us is so great. Why were our visits to Valley Stream and Monroe so memorable? It was because of you. You easily prepared food for a week to feed any family gathering and at the same time made it look so easy. When in your presence, you always made us feel special and so important in your eyes. It's certainly not surprising why you had such a vast extended family because you loved life so well and you shared your life beyond what most could imagine. Mother Teresa said, "We're not called to do great things, but small things with great love." Didn't you embrace this sentiment long before Mother Teresa expressed it? The legacy you leave me is to embrace life with that same determination and graciousness you perfected for so long and so beautifully. Rest in Peace!"

Aunt Anne,
We were all hoping to see you when we were in Florida to see the Yankees (sorry cousins!) in the next couple of weeks but that didn't happen but I will always remember your smile and your laughter and loving all of us and our children. I remember all the parties in your house in Monroe and we all had a good time but now you are having a grand old time with Uncle Matty and Dolly. We will miss you, Aunt Anne!

Dear Anne, I thought I would get to celebrate another St. Paddy's day with you but I guess you were anxious to see Dolly and Matty again. I cannot put into words all that you meant to me and all that you did for me growing up. Although mamma died at an early age I never felt that I lost a mother because you stepped in and did the job willingly. Because of you and your guidance I am the person I am today. I owe everything to you. Without you being there at an early age for me, I don't think I could have done the things in life that I have done. I always remember you encouraging me to persue Marilyn because you knew how great a person she was and is. So, in a way, my life with Marilyn and our family is due to your influence on me at that time.
Anne, I always told all my friends when they asked about you that you were fine because that how you wanted everyone to know you. You never complained about your illness and you would never know from talking to you if you were sick. You became my role model in handling tough situations. Your glass was always half filled. The only thing that got you mad was Jerry Manuel of the Mets and I am glad that you saw him lose his job. It did bring you some joy.
As many others have already said you are with all the angels and saints in heaven. I will always be grateful and I always will remember you and I always will pray to you. You will forever be in my heart and some day we will all have the opportunity to listen to you sing The Wild Colonial Boy.

Hi Aunt Anne it's Barbara
The family bonds and memories we all have of growing up coming to Monroe have formed the parents, spouses and children we are today. You had a heart big enough to love not only your immediate huge family but all of your siblings, nieces, nephews and their children as well. You are forever in our hearts, in our stories and in our laughs. I hope God has a golf cart in heaven for you because there is nothing holding you back now. I love you and will miss you always

Mom -- I can't believe that you are gone. I can't believe I took you clothes shopping like 2 weeks ago. You and I were meant to shop until we dropped. And boy did we drop after spending days -- full 8 hour days shopping at Christmas time. You were and will always be my favorite shopping buddy!!!
You were always so strong and never showed weakness.
You loved each and every one of your 10 children. I remember you always saying that the thing that helped you get through Dolly's death was having another baby. You loved the babies. Your face would light up when you knew the Grandkids or anyone else's kids were coming down to visit. The one thing that is going to help get me through losing you is that you are finally with Dolly and Dad. Dolly has patiently waited for your arrival all these years. We all need to remember all the good time we had with both you and Dad and remember that you are all up in heaven waiting for our arrival. You will forever be in my aching heart. Missing you . . today and forever. Love CATHLEEN

My wife Sandy and I send our deepest sympathy to the Connolly famiily. I first met Anne while she was working at Tony's Park Inn, Monroe, NY as Tony's right hand and public relations guru in the very early 60's. Everyone loved Anne with her lovely smile and congeniality. Matty would come in after his work was completed in NYC and take her up the hill. As it turned out, in the early 70's, we moved to Hilltop Road in Monroe and became their neighbors where we raised our family. Greatest neighbors ever! Anne has now joined Matty in heaven. Thank you Anne and Matty for all the wonderful memories. RIP

You always used to say that I was your favorite, something I never disputed, but, I know that each of your ten children held a very special place in your heart! We can all take solice in the wonderful times that we shared as a family! I used to so look forward to having a cup of tea with you after dinner and discuss all the events of the day! A lost art nowadays! You certainly earned your place amongst the angels and saints - may you rest in peace!

I was one of 8 kids of the Reynolds family who lived at Hilltop in Monroe but did not have the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Connolly. I am sure our families have met. From what I read about Mrs. Connolly and chating with Matt Jr. on FB I feel I knew her. She sounds just like my Mom. Now she can go shopping and chat with my mom up in heaven too. She has joined many angels up there. On behalf of myself and the Reynolds Family formally of Monroe our prayers go out to the Connolly family.

We will really miss Aunt Anne so much! She was so funny and always took an interest in you. It was always a highlight of our annual Florida trip for our kids to see her. She always loved to tell Brendan how when he was about 5 years old and she came to visit us, he let her stay in his room and that he opened the blinds so she could "see the stars"! She said, "I'm going to tell everyone about you!" And I'm sure she did:)

Mom, You always had a way of making everyone feel special. My favorite thing about my mother was anytime I took her food shopping in Monroe you would have to make sure you have an hour for shopping and and hour for Mom talking. It was an art form that my mother perfected. She would engage people in the store into conversation just by giving them her classic smile. Perfect strangers would take the longest cause she had to go introduce herself and then me. When you are growing up you think of this as a waste of time. But now I think of it as a gift!! She was a very special person here on earth and I know up in heaven she will be at the gates with her big smile on the welcome committee..Love you . Dan
