Obituary of Nadine Lindsey Crumpton

Chiefland - Nadine Lindsey Crumpton, 80, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Haven Hospice. Born in Chiefland, she was a lifelong resident of Levy County. She worked as a Cottage Parent at Sunland Training Center. She is survived by her children Judy Geigle of Texas, Pat Cannon of Trenton, Ralph Crumpton of Fanning Springs, Bob Crumpton of High Springs, Tim Crumpton of Chiefland, Kenny Crumpton of Keystone Heights, and Kip Crumpton of Chiefland; sister Kathryn Barnes of Orlando; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. Nadine Crumpton also raised three of her grandchildren; Melisa Durden of Williston, Andrew Geer of Trenton, and Jonathan Harrell of Chiefland. She was preceded in death by her daughter Suzzette Harrell. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 PM on Friday, February 11, 2011 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 16655 NW County Road 339, with Pastor Dennis Webber officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services - Chiefland, 1301 North Young Blvd. A committal ceremony will take place after the funeral at Pine Grove Cemetery.
