Obituary of Edward Destio

DESTIO, EDWARD LOUIS Ocala - Edward Louis Destio, 69, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born in Elmont, L.I., NY and moved to Ocala 12 years ago from Holbrook, NY. He was a retired foreman for the New York City Sanitation Dept. He loved building model airplanes and was a member of the Model Airplane Club, Ocala Flying Model Club from 2007-2010 and the Cloud Climbers from 2003-2011. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet of Ocala, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diana and Paul Kalinowski of Cutchogue, NY, his niece, Lisa Fiore, his nephews, Paul and Frank Fiore and great nephews, Paul Fiore, Jr. and Salvatore Giannini. A Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
