Obituary of Viola Jean Mann

THE VILLAGES — Viola Mann, 77, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011. Ms. Mann was born in Alabama City, Ala., and moved to The Villages from Tampa in 2010. She was a lab technician for several doctors and hospitals; attended Melrose United Methodist Church; member of Tampa Red Hat Club; and her hobbies were shopping and sewing. Survivors include her daughters Judy Waller, The Villages, Dianne Fitterer, Newark, Del., Rosalee Traina, Tampa; sons Kenneth R., Rome, Ga., Richard Sr., Jacksonville; brothers Harold Morris, Silver Creek, Ga., Arthur Morris, Green Cove Springs, Roy Morris, Charleston, S.C., Vernon Morris, Shannon, Ga., Thurmon Morris, Rome; sister Nettie Choate, Rome, Jeanelle Brannen, Plant City; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778-9915.
