Obituary of Russell Rollis Leyman

LEYMAN, Russell R. Mr. Russell R. Leyman, 81, of Ft. McCoy, died Thursday, February 24, 2011, at his residence. A native of Salem, Ohio, he moved to Marion County 15 years ago, coming here from Salem. Mr. Leyman was a proud member of the United Auto Workers and retired from Chrysler Corporation, where he worked as an assemblyman. He was a Jehovah's Witness. He is survived by three sons, Russell Leyman, Jr., Salem, Ohio, Thomas Leyman, Columbiana, Ohio, and Randall Leyman, Ft. McCoy; step-sons James Cannon, California, PA and Robert Cannon, Rices Landing, PA, step daughter Shirley Corliss, Ft. McCoy, brother Dale Leyman and sister Marge Welling, both of Salem, Ohio, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years Frances Leyman, second wife of 14 years Sarah Leyman and son Allen "Rock" Leyman. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, with James Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
