Obituary of William O. Earl

William O. Earl, 91, of Ocala, FL, departed this life on February 27, 2011 at Legacy Hospice House in Ocala, FL, born in Canon City, CO on June 16, 1919 to Harry D. and Susie (Perry) Earl. Mr. Earl was a Navy Pilot who served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Earl was a member of the retired Naval Officers Assoc.; the Naval Airship Assoc.; and was a former member of the New Pretenders A Performing Group in OTOW. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping, golfing, fishing, and was an avid reader. Mr. Earl moved to Ocala from Canon City, Co. in 1997. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 and a half years Charlene Earl of Ocala, FL; 3 sons William J. Earl of Coronado, CA; Kenneth Buffington of Saratoga, WY; and James V. Earl of Orlando, FL; 1 brother Harry D. Earl of Atlanta, TX; 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Granddaughter. Memorial Service for Mr. Earl will be Friday March 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley TimberRidge Chapel 9695 S.W. 110th St., Ocala with Pastor Randy Stone officiating. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery at 1:00 PM with full Military Honors provided by Angela Santos Post 4781 of Ocala.
