Obituary of Annie Ruth Royal

Evans, GA -- Mrs. Annie Ruth Camp Royal, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 28, 2011. She was born in Rome, GA, and was a long-time resident of Ocala, FL, before moving to Evans, GA, in 1996. Annie Ruth was the loving wife of the late George Royal and the devoted mother of David (Merris) Royal of Boulder, WY, Allen (Kathleen) Royal of Brunswick, MD, and Gary (Catherine) Royal, Evans, GA. Mrs. Royal is also survived by her grandchildren: An (Dan) Dahlheimer, Greensboro, NC; Byron (Cynthia) Royal, Harpers Ferry, WV; Crista Royal, Augusta, GA; Matthew Royal, Denver, CO; and, Charlotte Royal, Evans, GA, and five great-grandchildren. Annie Ruth also devoted herself to her late parents, Horace S. and Mary Ruth Camp of Oak, Fl. She loved to sing in the choir, and was at various times a member of Oak-Griner Baptist, Highlands Baptist, and Downtown Baptist churches. She grew many varieties of roses, and would bring them to share at many family and church events over the years. Donations in her memory may be sent to: Gideons International, P.O. The funeral service will be in Ocala on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Spring Boulevard, Ocala, FL 34470, Pastor Mike West officiating.
