Obituary of Shirley Joyce Verna

VERNA, Shirley J. Mrs. Shirley J. Verna, 76, of Ocala, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 28, 2011. Mrs. Verna was a native of Rochester, New York, and had moved to Ocala in 1975, coming here from Pompano Beach, FL. She was involved in jewelry sales at Ocala's Lady Jeweler. She was Baptist, and had been active for many years at First Baptist Church of Ocala. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David, two daughters, Lynne and Tracy, her son Charles, sister, Sharon, 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be held from 6-8 PM Monday, March 7, 2011 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, with Pastor Tony Barber officiating.
