Obituary of Renate D. Tartaglia

THE VILLAGES — Renate D. Tartaglia, 66, died Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Mrs. Tartaglia was born in Frankfurt, Germany, and moved to The Villages from Pawtucket, R.I. She was a retired travel consultant; member of Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages; The Villages Polo Boosters; volunteer for Rhode Island Special Olympics; past member of the Rhode Island Yacht Club and the Blackstone Valley Snowmobile Club; enjoyed boating; horseback riding; snowmobiling; travel in Europe; and caring for animals. Survivors include her husband, Raymond; one niece; and two nephews. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of The Villages, with service following at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to The Villages Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162 or your local SPCA.
