Mr. Lee Breeding, Sr., 94, of Ocala passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. Lee was born on January 6, 1917 in Maxie, Virginia and had been a Marion County resident since 1948. He was a WWII veteran, proudly serving in the US Army Air Corps in the Northern Solomons, Bismark-Archipelago, New Guinea, Gaudalcanal, and the Dutch East Indies. He was a retired carpenter and belonged to the Carpenter's Local 75 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Margie. Survivors include: Daughter, Marilyn (Michael) White of Ocala; Son, Lee (Ling) Breeding, Jr. of Honolulu, Hawaii and step-son, Leon (Midge) Yates of Haysi, Virginia; sisters, Gladys Dingus of Ocala, and Muriel (Roger) Doyon of Fairfax, Virginia; grandchildren, Ryan, Regan, Brandon, and Kacie; great-grandchildren, Lane, Trinity, Madison, Mikaela, and Adrian; and many special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011 with visitation 1 - hour prior to services at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5740 S Pine Ave., Ocala.
